The Saxons girls’ team got the year off to a great start with victories over Swindon Shock and then followed it up to a win over the Leadonites. In both cases, the girls battled hard against bigger teams and used their speed and skill to secure convincing wins. Team work was key as they both attacked and defended effectively and showed great communication and cohesion throughout.
Aoife led the way against Swindon Shock with a huge 36pt game leading the girls to a 74-20 win. Two days later they match up against Leadonites – a team they lost to in the Autumn – and secured a 52-34 win, showing how much they have developed in a short space of time.
Well done Girls! You should all be proud of the way you played.
